NUS Business School Alumni (NUSBSA) was in Kuala Lumpur (KL) recently to install new office bearers for its KL Alumni Chapter. This took place at dinner, in the presence of alumni and distinguished guests from Sunway Group. By this time, ice had already been broken among participants, thanks to the day's interesting line-up of activities.

The current global economic crisis had severely hit emerging Asia economies with great speed and force. This is despite the fact that these economies were minimally exposed to the toxic financial assets that started Financial Crisis 2008, and most were in fact in sound macroeconomic shape both internally and externally after their healthy recovery from the Asian Financial Crisis 1997.

A small but jolly group of Kuala Lumpur-based alumni met for a Chinese New Year celebration on January 16, where they renewed old ties and plotted to expand the KL chapter of the NUS Business School Alumni Association.
